Mr. Agahian is a registered Architect with over thirty years of experience in planning, programming, and designing research and teaching laboratories, offices, conference rooms, TV studios, warehouses, and healthcare facilities. He has been intimately involved in developing and executing detailed programs for private, institutional, and governmental science facilities. He has worked directly with governmental agencies such as the National Institute of Health, Center for Disease Control and National Institute of Safety and Health.
Mr. Agahian’s office is involved in the development and design of workplace environment, addressing flexible, and activity-based work settings. The complex acoustical, and lighting requirements of diverse spaces from Studios to Vivarium facilities are successfully and seamlessly accommodated in his practice.
The various components of healthcare and hospital projects such as patient rooms, imaging facilities, surgery suites are programmed, designed and executed with in-house healthcare experts. His extended experience with complex infrastructures contributes to successful facilities housing intricate mechanical systems, and demanding operational separations between multiple spaces.
The office provides construction documents for general contractors to prepare their bid proposals. In addition, the design built services is provided with ICC general contractors. In design-built the contractor and the design team work together as one group from programming, and design to the end of construction.
Mr. Agahian has a master’s degree in Architecture from The Royal Academy of Art and Architecture in Denmark and is a registered Architect in NY, CT, and CA.
